Hi Guys...

I just bought a 90 AWD TSI that I plan on using for both Drag and Track Time trials (Like Autocross without the cones). WHat would the best suspension setup be for my car? I do not plan on riding this car daily... but I do plan on driving it to the track and to the local meets... Roads are pretty bumpy here in PR so I don't know if I should go with a full blown (stiff) race setup. I am also on a budget... not a tight one but nevertheless a budget (doing a complete overhaul of the car).

First thing you need to do is check out the Suspension FAQ Link. You will want to pay close to the first entry "Planning Your Suspension". Read through that and get a grasp on what you need to be thinking about. Once you finish reading that, you will be able to have a better idea of what you are trying to accomplish (and in turn, provide better detail than you have so far),ask more specific questions, and get more precise answers.

I can tell you right now that there will be no way to setup the car to do well at both drag and time trials.

Might want to be more specific about your budget restraints i.e. just say how much money you plan on spending.

Line 3 should awnser your wants for a suspension set-up for both drag, and time attack. Your best bet if they made them for our cars would be electronicly controlled coil-overs, those allow for 6 suspension set-ups to be set, so while inside your car, you can change the set up for soft up front and stiff rear end for drag or what ever you found to be the best, then go across the island to a time attack event and hit #2 and have it set to the best set-up for that, then before you leave the track set it to #3 for street to be soft to counter the rough roads...but we are not cursed with this good fortune to have this set-up from Tein or other likewise companies, unless we spend loads of $$$ and custom do it. So to bring a long story to a finish your choices are to either get a great drag set-up, with an eh not so good time attack set-up, or do a great time attack set-up with a not so great drag set-up...or get coil-overs, and change them up everytime by hand to that specific race you are in ie drag, or time attack.
