For some reason, for quite a while there has been a more or less random pop i hear sometimes in my right front suspension.. I looked yesterday and there was nothing OBVIOUS to see, the only thing i noticed was that the tie rod ends were a little loose.. not super loose, but a little.. could that be it? im taking it in for an alignment tommorrow and the last thing i want to hear is "we couldent align it because XXXXX, but you need to pay us $25 anyway"

any ideas?

Could be your loose tie-rods, could also be your ball joints. Take your car to the dealer, there is a ball joint recall, they'll let you know if you need it free of charge. When I took mine in, they replaced them with no question.

well, i got the car with 35k on it, so i would guess not. is there any way to check if its the ball joints? i have a friend at the dealership and he would probably just give me the necessary parts and let me do it myself (i prefer it that way) unless it requires special tools or something (??)

im going ot get it aligned here in bout an hour.

Jack the car up, put a pry bar where the lower joint is. if you can get any substabcila play there..1/8 then the joint is bad. Also visually look at the boot that covers the joint. f it is torn replace them. Another thing to tell if it has been already performed is to look at the cup seal on the bottem of the ball joint. If it is WHITE then it has been done before.

You will NOT find these parts anywhere BUT a mitsu dealer.
