I want to lower and stiffen my gst.
Does anyone know the cheapest, most reliable way to do it?

Well, I'm not sure of cheapest, but so far reliability is great. I have the AGX adjustables (but sure you can use GR-2s) from tirerack.com. I got 2" lowering springs from speedpeople.com, Goldlines I believe, and my car is really stiff, even on the lowest settings on my AGX struts/shocks.
Another way is coilovers, but not so cheap. Personnaly I wanted quality products but not invest too much into it because I would rather invest into go-fast parts. Try to go to dsmreviews.com and check to the suspension section to see what other fellow dsmers have experienced, it helped me make my choices.
