hey guys , i recently put suspension technique springs on my 91 talon along with agx front and gr2 rear, my car iz SMACKING the ground soooooooo hard, im getting mad.

thought #1: bad strut mounts
thought #2: bad springs
thought #3: my car getting heavier

any ways if anyone knows what it can be please help me...

Did this happen immediately after installation or a little time afterwards. If this was immediate then it might be installation flaws. If a little time afterwards that it has to be equipment failure. You can check the struts and shocks for leakage. When you say "smacking the ground" do you mean you are bouncing real hard or are you literally smacking the ground with car parts. If you are are literally smacking the ground, exactly which part of the car is smacking i.e.,front passenger side, front driver side, etc, etc. Need a few more details to give a better diagnoses.

it had immediate results after installation,at that time i had gr2's in front. 6-8 months after i removed them and put agx in front , the car is'nt literally smacking ,it feels like the suspension bottomingn out. but its not the shocks, i can still feel their stiffness, it feels like the springs.what do u think:confused:

dont have any !! would they fit on the agx's ?should i put them on all four shocks?

What do you mean you don't have any? Where are they from your stock suspension? If there are none on your car, thats your problem! Guaranteed! Is just that rubber thing that goes around the shaft of the strut so when the suspension bottoms out it doesn't hit metal to metal.

they told me i wouldnt need any with the agx shocks, would they fit on those shocks?

You need bumpstops with any suspension. Yes, they will fit. I have AGX and I bought KYB boots that have bumpstops connected to them. Where are the bumpstops from your original setup? Do you throw them away. How about the dust covers / boots. Do you still have those? You need those too so dirt and stuff doesn't get into your shock. Go to your local autoparts store and ask them if they just sell bump stops for your car. They probably sell something universal that fits all cars which is fine. They also might not sell it unless it comes with the boot. If so, then thats what you'll have to buy. Once you get those, the bump stops are usually to long/big. You will need to trim them. I would suggest to trim them to make the total length about one inch or whatever is more realistic based on the design of the rubber bump stop. Once you have done all this, it should resolve the problem. You can also get the boots that come with the bumpstops at tirerack.com but they are expensive. KYB sells them. This is what I did. I would just go to a Kragens or Napa Auto Parts store or something.

i ordered the strut boots and bump stops(kyb), and put new springs (eibach pro kit).. and new strut mounts(kyb)..it was a combination of all of the above causing the problem. i had worn strut mounts, no bump stops, saggy springs, and dirty shocks..problem fixed.. thanks..:thumb: :D :talon:
