I know the Evo and Eclipse turbo has the same engine, but what about the 4x4 system and the rest of the car?

it's not really a 4x4 system... it's all-wheel drive. four-wheel drive is a selectable dealie, and the diagonally opposing wheels are driving... with awd, you've actually sorta got three drive-wheels, the two in the back (it's really just one, but the LSD puts power to the other one when needed), and the passenger-side front (front dif is open). and it's full-time. and you can shift power around as needed. awd > four-wheel drive. =)
