M/T ET STREET 26 x 10.5 x 16 STRUT RUB

I wanted to post on here to see if anyone was running a M/T ET Street bias-ply tire on a 1g awd with a regular style strut (not coilovers). I picked up this wheel and tire combo for a decent price with spacers. The spacers are 7/16" thick (11mm roughly). My car is currently equipped with KYB shocks/struts which I know aren't all that great but it is what the car came with, so I will live with them till I decide which route to go. When I installed the front wheel/tire with the spacer I noticed that it rubs the lower spring perch (as seen in pics). My question would be... Is there any other struts out there that maybe have a different shape spring perch that would clear better, or am I pretty much forced to go with coil overs? The short term fix will be me taking the struts out and modifying the perch to clear the tire. I am a fabricator/welder so it shouldn't be an issue. Just wanting to see if anyone out there found a strut combo that maybe gave more tire room. I will post pics and info up of how I modify these struts to make these tires fit if anyone is interested. Any additional info would be great! And yes I understand full coilovers would be the best thing to do. Just need to get buy a while longer till I make another purchase that large.
