big difference between TEIN and ground control setup?

Yes they are worth the extra money. But ONLY if your into road racing. We don't need all the goodies the TEIN comes with on the street or on the 1/4. Otherwise, ground-controls would be sufficient for 90% of us.

TEIN's are a full coil-over 16-way adjustable shock. GC's are just coil-over springs with no shocks.

Wouldnt the tein also have better ride qualtiy since it is a full coilover system. That is a big plus and I think it would be worth the extra money for that reason alone. GC's + Shocks cost about $700 to $800 you can get tein for about $1000.

I think the TEIN would make the ride quality worse actually. TEINs are race coilovers right? IF so, won't the suspension be really stiff?

I would highly recommend the tein suspension to anyone that wants a great ride combined with great performance. The Tein suspension setup is amazing. Here is a quick overview of the products offered by tein for our vehicles.

The Super Street Damper is geared towards the towards people with pockets that arent so deep and who probably wont ever put the cars suspension through its full capabilities. It is a great application for the weekend warrior or the daily driver.

The FLEX damper comes with the upper mounts for increased strength. It is a bit more pricey and designed for a very demanding enthusiast or even for full race application. The FLEX damper is also compatible with the EDFC(Electronic Damping Force Controller) which allows the driver to adjust the damping force of the shocks in the front and the rear while in the drivers seat.

Both the Super Street Damper and the Flex Damper are equipped with 16 way adjustable shocks so you can fine tune your suspension for everyday driving or a day at the track.

As far as I am concerned there is no comparison between Ground control and either of the Tein suspension kits. Ground control and a superb set of shocks would not come close to the performance that either tein suspension can lay down. Keep in mind that when you buy a performance shock.....it is designed for a spring that is not adjustable so it is easier to bottom out the shock and be bouncing off the bump stops like every honda bouncing down the road with coilovers and a 2 inch drop. ;) The TEIN suspension systems are fine tuned TO BE ADJUSTED. Whether you put the car on the ground or you raise it up to stock height you will still achieve maximum performance and besides the EDFC just kicks ass, no getting out with a screw driver.

Sorry for the long post. I hope I enlightened someone.
