Hello, I'm a nwebie looking for some help with a brake problem. I just replaced all my rotors and brake pads on my 1999 gst. A test drive after revealed that I have what sounds like a chattering from one of the rears. I took it apart again and everything seems fine. Any ideas?? When placing the pads on the tin clips should they be tight or slide smoothly??

I see you are having a little problem and I'm here to help.

1. brake pads should be able to slide back and forth smoothly.
(don't forget to lube all slide points)

2. what type of chattering are you hearing and did you double check all bolts, nuts, etc.
does it happen while your driving or when you stop.

I need to know what the car is doing so I can be more help to you

send me a private message and will go from there.

I had the same thing happen when i installed my brakes. I put drilled/slotted rotors, along w/new pads all around and the rear driver disc was making a chattering noise. I called Brembo and they said that it is common and that it should eventually go away(IDK if u have drilled or slotted) and after about 200mi. it was completely gone. might be a possibility
