Have any of the fwd guys gave these a shot in the rear springs? I'm thinking of grabbing some and cramming em in the rear to see how it affects me :)

i have seen then never used them but would recommend by springs. because you are completely altering how the spring was designed to work by using those

hahaha, thats funny OMG

how so? They would lessen the amount of weight transfer...

I'm not talking about for autox or anything, just strictly drag racing.

i laugh b/c when i was 16 years old i put them on my old eclipse and they messed up the springs. They also bend over time with the weight and they are almost impossible to get off. But hey go ahead and try it. :thumbdown

I'm only thinking about just putting them on there for drag days. I can take all the wheels off in a matter of minutes, and i cant see it taking me more than a minute per corner to put em on/take em off.

I dunno, just an idea.

Damn, nice run w/ your mods. I'm interested in this. What kind of spring boosters did you use. Seems like they would be a good idea to help hook up at the track. I obviously wouldn't leave them on for more then a few mintues. Srry, I dunno much about these. Any info would help.

Weight transfer is a function of two things: acceleration and CG height. Since these booster thingies are going to raise the car, they are going to increase the amount of weight transfer (assuming that you haven't reduced the amount of acceleration).

Maybe what you meant was that raising the butt of the car put more weight on the front wheels to start with(?). Maybe reducing squat helped the front tires to bite or at least made the front grip more predictable and easier to manage(?). There are a bunch of reasons why this mod might have helped, but it's not a reduction in weight transfer.

I guess keeping the thing from squating will get you out of the gate a bit quicker.......
Dont know how much your going to pick up ? What are these gizmos made from? I know that Hoerr racing sells some rubber donuts to put under your spring to give it a little more rate.......

Jtoby you live in PA? you should shoot up to wellsboro for the STPR rally on the 5th of JUNE........ I will be there running the talon.....

I picked those up from advance auto parts. They were like $5 for a pair. I ran 5 2.1x 60's that night, compared to my previous best of one 2.28 and the rest 2.3x's.

I should be getting some KYB AGX's for the rear this week though
