, you were given the choice between new struts and springs or new JIC coilovers, which would you pick?Originally posted by jtmcinder
Put another way, are the great unwashed really ready for a car that can be tossed around? No way! So don't tempt them into getting rid of the pig-like understeer of a DSM on stock sways.

My money would go to some koni shocks and eibach springs. Maybe even put in a strut tower bar for good measure. (don't scoff, it actually does help stiffen the chassis.)

Eibach Springs are crap. They're softer spring rates than the stock springs you have in your car right now.

They'll just go out and get into trouble on the street, lifting mid-corner and killing someone. Better to leave them on stock sways and OTS lowering springs, which we've all recently learned are sufficient for autoXing a DSM. And, even if they aren't, the odds are that said unwashed will be kicked into SM because of some meaningless power mod and get the crap kicked out of them by a stuffed Beamer or lightweight Honda, never to return again, anyway.
