Rain, or moon shine (;)), please attend. This is a night meet in order to try and allow more to attend after work. It's the holiday season, so please expect parking to be fuller than normal.
We will have an opportunity to get most of the parking in the parking lot if we get there early enough, and if the night is calm, there should be plenty of traffic coming in and out. I think it would be nice to have more DSMs than any others for once. I don't normally attend the Kreme meets, but I will attend this DSM meet. On a cold night, coffee sounds mighty good to me :). Be sure to dress warm.

If you have any questions, please give David a call at 253.241.5136.

Krispie Kreme
4302 Tacoma Mall Blvd,
Tacoma
(253) 472-6888

I hope to see you all, from near and far, there.

Thanks,

NW TOY RUN 2009
6th ANNUAL

December 5, 2009
Time: 12:00 pm
Place: Pacific Raceways
Bring: unopened toy

TOYS FOR TOTS

YEP. THATS RIGHT! SATURDAY DEC. 5th 12:00pm AT PACIFIC RACEWAYS( Pacific Raceways - Where The Excitement Is Accelerating.....For The Entire Family! ). DROP OFF TOYS AND ENJOY THE PEOPLE AND CARS. LAST YEAR WAS AT THE EXTREME. OVER 700 CARS. LOTS OF FUN, AND LOTS OF TOYS. WANNA MAKE THIS EVENT SO LARGE WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE TACOMA DOME IN A FEW YEARS. LOOKS LIKE IT'S GETTING THERE SO LETS GET IT GOING!!!

This is going to be a BIG ONE. I want to see everybody there. I mean everybody. This is for the CHILDREN that are less fortunate. I don't care what you bring, a hot wheel or a stuffed animal. Just an unopened toy. This will show the community that People DO CARE. This will be an open forum event. I will post on other forums. Feel free to post on others also. YOU NEED TO BE AT THIS ONE.
LETS MAKE SOME KIDS HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS!

NWToyRun.com | It's for the Kids

The web page is not up yet, hopefully soon

Some pics from 08 NW TOYRUN 08 - a set on Flickr

I HOPE TO SEE EVERYBODY , I MEAN EVERYBODY who has ever looked at this page to attend. As you can tell last years was AWSOME and this years will be better!!!!!!!!! This will be on a saturday and even in the after noon so NO EXCUSES! HA HA HA!!!!

The last few years we have been meeting up and driving as together as we could. Proved to be very difficult and time consuming. This year you can do one of two things, meet as your own groups and roll up together ( most do this already) or just show up. Either way you will be part of history. See you there!

This is a copy of a post! I wanted to let all you NW guys know about this. I went to this last year and it was HUGE over 700 cars(every make) showed up! We did have a drive before hand but this year it sounds like it may just be a meet at the raceway! Lets have a good turnout of DSM's!!

I am in the midst of trying to set up a pre-meet for the DSM's Evo's and possibly some subies to meet up at the supermall in Auburn accross from the McDonalds. Let see how big we can make it this year!!!

So it looks as though i blew my head gasket last night. Loads of sweet smelling white smoke is coming from my exhaust, like enough to make an 8 foot high wall cloud with 2 revs of the engine.

Who would you guys recommend i take the car too? I am not able to fix this on my own.

The last thread searched for shops in this area I found was from 07' so I thought I'd post this request to see if we have any other shops around these days.

Besides English Racing, which I know does good work. Are there any other shops near the East-side area that are knowledgeable, reasonable, and trusted to do good work on a car like an Evo 1? Going to be needing clutch work, Dif adjustment work, and a general tune up/belt replacement job.

Thanks!

Hey guys, Finally got my car running after a year of slacking off. Anyway, been having many issues, first the starter wouldn't engage, fixed that. Then on the first 4 miles my power steering pulley came off :( Anyway just replaced the belt and downloaded evoscan. Got a cable for dsmlink but I think I need an adapter for it to work with evoscan. 3 known to work from my searching.

1. Keyspan adapter
2. Belkin
3. Cables unlimited

Now, my question is, has anyone of you locals, or anyone else had any success with a different brand? I live in Portland, OR and I just visited radio shack, the guys said someone already tried the cable they had and it didn't work (said he had the same car as me)

Hello everyone,
Today my talon just died while it was idleing. Now it wont start. CEL is on but I am not reading any codes from the diagnostic connector; I just get 0V all the time. I tried with a digital meter, LED, analog meter, and a buzzer. Nothing.

I've noticed when I turn the car off, I no longer get the "click" a few seconds later to signify the ECU clicking off (from the MPI relay). Yet, when I turn the key over I can feel the mpi relay click. BUT I also know that there are two relays inside of this, and I have no way to tell if both of them are clicking over.

I also cant get power on any of the pins that *should* have power on the ECU, yet I know the ECU is at least turning on a little bit because I am getting the CEL.

This all happened right after I changed the oil. Whenever I do something good for my car, it returns the favor by breaking!!!

Anyway, I want to see if there is anyone near by that could plug my ECU in really quick to see if it is an issue with some other system in my car, or see if it is actually an ECU failure.

Earlier today (before the car broke) I opened up the ECU for the first time and it looks flawless. No leakage or corrosion, and the car worked perfectly when I closed it all back up and re-installed it.

SO to sum it all up, if someone could stop by or if I could meet up with someone to plug my ECU into their car just to see if it works on not, I would be forever grateful!!!

My car is a 1990 with an eprom ECU, I'm not sure what the compatability through the years is, but I know it will at least work with a 90. Thanks!!!
