And the answer in the past had always been "no". We just pointed people to our DSMtuners Shirts and let them know that a portion of the proceeds goes towards the site's operating costs. We now have another way you can show your support for the site - paid membership options.

Our paid memberships are completely optional, and those who choose not to pay for a membership will not lose any of their rights to browse information on this site or any of their previous permissions on our site. Browsing tech information will continue to be free. But there will now be some added perks for those who upgrade their membership. Supporting the site will help ensure that the tech information found here will be available to the DSM community for many years to come, and it also will make new unique features and apparel options available. Congrats to all those who made it in. Thanks to everyone who sent in an entry. Next year, we're planning on doing multiple calendars in order to be able to include more members/entries. Until then, enjoy the DSM's that made it into this one.

I'd also like to say thanks to the Mods and Wisemen who helped in the selection process.

If for whatever reason the calendar you buy has any problems, please do return it to Cafepress (the printer) and get a refund. This means that once you post 30 useful threads/posts in the Newbie and/or Maintenance forums, and you've been registered for 30 days on our site, you will gain Proven Member status. This means you will gain access to post in our Classifieds and a few other perks.

If you need help finding questions to answer, use the "Unanswered Threads" link in the Forums menu in the top navigation bar:

And don't feel like you have to type out answers - you can just as easily provide useful information by linking to pages in the FAQ Forum, the Tech Articles section, the Upgrade Paths section, the VFAQ.com site, etc. Links are just as helpful as posts sometimes. A lot of the time, users just need to be pointed to the info. But please be advised - we don't allow replies that consist of nothing more than "Use the search". Link them to the answer (to the page where the answer can be found, not just a vague link), post the answer, or don't reply.

Go ahead and start posting ads. If you come across any issues, post them in the Site Feedback forum. The one bug we're still trying to work out is when editing an ad and removing an attachment and uploading a new one in its place, the new thumbnail is not displayed on the category page.
