Hey are there any St.Louis / Illinois welders who can help help out? I need a uicp welded together and a 1g bov flange welded on to it. I also need the two ends beaded. I was figuring 20 bucks. Everything will be pre-cut, all you have to do is weld and bead.

Thanks,
Ian

So now that holset is done for its time to start 2010 set up. I really don't know what to get for a next turbo. I have been doing a lot of research mostly on Borg Warner turbo's. I want to have something street friendly which spools up decent and can make some serious power. So far the s366 has my attention. Peak airflow looks to be 80lbs/min, correct me if I am wrong. I have no problem going with something even bigger and also have a t4 twin scroll set up to help with spool. If I went bigger I would also have more room to go but I don't want to sacrifice that much spool time and boost response between shifts. A s372 looks to be a bit on the big side for a street car and lag would probably suck...

I am looking to finally upgrade my turbo (after it's fixed mind you, see the transmission section..). My goals as far as horsepower go are 450-470 whp. I am looking for low VERY low 12's or high 11's as well. What am I looking for is a turbo obviously bigger then my 16g. I want a turbo that will bolt on to a stock manifold, as I already have my exhaust manifold and downpipe. The car will mostly be driven on the street, but will see some track use. I would like to avoid having to get an external wastegate, so if a turbo exists as said before that can come internally gated that would be even better. I say this because I am in college and on an extremely limited budget (haha aren't we all?). I believe I have all the supporting mods needed to reach the goal I want, except the bigger injectors and aFPR. Are there any turbos like this? The car won't be driven too much, no more then 5-10 miles day. Now if I can just figure out what's wrong with my damn car...

Ok so I'm in the process of piecing together my auto-x project and I've decided I want to retain the stock smic and run meth with the necessary hard pipes etc but what I want to know is what meth kit will fit my car best? I tryed researching but I didn't really find what I was looking for. My mods in the end will be:

14B w/7cm housing
Ported Evo III mani
Victory performance o2 dump
custom 3" catless tbe
hard upper and lower intercooler pipes, turbo outlet, bigger tb elbow etc.
stock smic(I may get the inlet and outlet made bigger)
walbro 190 fuel pump
Evo injectors
EcmLink with SD etc
FP2's
act2600 clutch
hard intake pipe
1G bov

You get the point, I'm sure there is more but I don't feel like naming everything. I want to know how much boost I'll be able to run safely with the 14b and meth, I'll eventually be switching to the FP68HTA but it won't be for awhile.

Ok, I basically drove myself insane looking at part #s of fittings and fitting sizes and junk, so I figured I would ask you guys for some help.

I want to make something to measure the oil pressure at my turbo inlet.
Now I use a -4AN line to 12x1.5 fitting, the top of this fitting has been turned down so that I can use nitrous jets as my restrictor.

So i need something that will accept the 12x1.5 thread, accept a 1/8NPT thread (thread most commonly found on small pressure gauges) and output (male) 12x1.5 to screw into the turbo.

Maybe there is another way using different fittings and adapters to do this, but I am having troubles figuring this out.

I appreciate the help, especially as I should be concentrating on my new OJT rather than my car.

Thanks again

I'm currently running the evo3 16g, purchased about 4 months ago, and it's been running great, but then i got to thinking, if i'm going to be upgrading my fuel system and putting money towards upgrading all other misc. parts, i might as well put it to a good cause, and therefore i have decided next year to go 50 trim.

I will be getting a walbro 255 with a aeromotive fpr, but now my question comes down to, what is a good sized injector for the pte 5031 ?
I don't want an injector that will run high IDC's, something that will provide enough fuel but yet operate efficiently, and will an safc2 be suffice to tune it ?

I was thinking about pairing this turbo with a fp mani and a pr o2 housing kit w/ tial 38mm external.
Thanks for any advice and help in advance.
