I was running at a solid 13.6v for about 2 days until last night I went to start the car and my +Volts were at 10v!! and when I would try to keep the engine running the volts would drop down to around 8v and the car would start trying to shut off on me. When I turn the car back off the battery Volts would be at a normal 12.8v. The battery was tested and was checkout out to be good. I decided to leave it alone and the next day I got a brand new battery and tightened the alternator belt a little more. That seemed like it solved the problem but now my volts wont go any higher then 12.2 at the battery while the car is running. I know this is enough for it to run but why would the alternator be putting out 13.6v one day, then not work the next, then work but only put out 12v?
When I test the voltage at the alternator while running im getting 0v!! Im completely stumped! IDK if its the alternator or something else?

Ok, so i've been searching for a while and can't seem to find the exact answer that I'm looking for. Basically, I need to know how I can ground the fuel pump if I eliminate the hard line inside the fuel pump cover and use all AN fittings. The fuel pump needs to be grounded onto the hard line, but I'm eliminating the full hard line. If the wires are still attached to the inside of the plate does that mean the previous owner didn't install the Walbro with a rewire kit?? I'm not exactly sure how you'd get the ground wire to come out of the cap without drilling a hole into the cap maybe causing a leak of gasoline. Do I need to do a rewire kit?? I already have all the fittings I just need to know how to safely power and ground the pump.

1g FWD

In the pic, I'm eliminating the hard line, but I need to find a way to relocate the ground that's on that hard line. Do I need to rewire this pump? If so, how do I do it through the cap without causing a leak.

I got the car back home and noticed that they only did the passenger side of the car :ohdamn:. Well, about 5 months ago the drivers side ball joint started clunking so I called the dealership again to get the recall done for the other side and they told me the recall was only for the passengers side ball joint.... I was wondering if this was true or not and if it's not I was wondering if somebody could give me like a recall number or something that I can tell them to replace the other one. If not then I'm just going to have to buy it and replace it myself obviously but I don't believe that its just the passenger side if it was because of what they say it was (Dirt getting inside during factory assembly and making them go bad) why would it JUST be the passenger side if they were both being made the same way on both sides? It just doesn't makes sense to me at all.

So I just installed my new ecu with DSMlink, I had a few questions about some basic settings I was looking to change.

What is the difference between "coolant" and "high coolant" for the stock 2g boost gauge?

I also set both fans to stay one all the time.

Is there any other small changes I should consider? I have an almost stock car besides a 16g and basic breather mods

Thanks!

OK first i would like to say I have been searching for my solution to this, but i guess i'm just not that good at searching. Any help would be greatly appreciated. now my problem is I'm getting random loss of power like it's not getting boost. It does it in any gear wether i'm getting on it or driving normal. I thought maybe my cat was bad and had that cleaned out and gutted but did not help. I changed plugs and wires, which seemed to help but didnt fix it. The only think i can think of is my knock sensor is hearing my lifter tick and pulling my timing. I jus feel like if it was something like this i would get a CEL. I'm just hoping someone has been through this and can point me in the right direction. luv2rally suggested it might be my TB shaft seals, but would that really make me loose that much power? when it does it it's very noticible the exhaust sounds diffrent and it doesnt put you back in the seat like normal. I'm also only getting around 200 miles on a tank. I hope i dont get flamed for this as i'm kinda new to dsm's, but i love um. again sorry for the long post and not searching properly i guess but i cant find anything that sounds like the problem i'm having.... any help is very much appreciated.
