Hey everyone, just picked up a 98 Eclipse GSX that needs alittle work. This is my first boosted car and can not wait to get it on the street! I just hope the boost addiction is not as bad as everyone make it out to be! I feel like I'm trying Heroin for the first time! :D

The kid I got it from had a bit of work done, FMIC, Wally 190, Injectors, a EBay 20g, and catback. He had a SAFC in it when I first looked at it, but kept it and I just found out its on stock injectors now. Now the problem I have not drove it yet, had a few minor things to fix before hand, I know the stock injectors and fuel trim is not adequate for a 20g under full boost. I dropped all my cash on the car, so I wont have the extra for new injectors and tuning for a few weeks. Can I safely run at say 10 psi until I get the fuel sorted out?

My 91 AWD has a completely stock exhaust system, but the exhaust is falling apart. The flexpipe is damaged and now my car sounds like a damn coffee can civic, with blown gaskets. I have been reading up on boost creep and trying to figure out if if my new exhaust system will make me prone to having this problem. I am running the stock 14b turbo. I have read that 2g rarely have this problem due to the t-25 turbo. I have also read that since I am running a stock turbo 14b or the 16g I can run into boost creep problem because of the type of wastegate.

I wanted to replace everything from the o2 housing back. I have a new 2g o2 housing, the downpipe is from Road Racing Engineering.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/fil...s_original.jpg

I have the short downpipe with the test pipe, no cat. The downpipe is 2.5 inches until the flex section then it is 3 inches to exhaust. I plant to use an Apexi n-1 catback exhaust system. It is a 3" system that bolts right on to the testpipe.

Again everything is stock in the car, turbo, wastegate, and No MBC.

Do you guy think I will run into a problem with boost creep?

Also, the pin doesn't rest against the end of the arm...it's like the arm is too short. No wonder I am having boost problems, the arm is already exended in order to just fit the pin.

There are no washers under the wastegate actuator. I noticed that the actuator arm will twist very easily...not sure if it is supposed to or not. WHAT DO I DO????

Ok, so i am building this 6bolt engine and i put the new oil pump/front cover and gears on. I just bought a new 1990 oil filter housing and when i went to prime the oil pump, i had not plugged the two big holes that go to my BM oil cooler. Anyway, i had read about installing the lines to this and it talking about there being a feed hole and a return hole for oil. When i went to spin the oil pump gears, oil came out both of those holes. If there is inlet and outlet holes, why am i getting oil coming out both holes? I temporarily plugged the holes and went about priming the oil pump, but i had to find out if this is normal for oil to come out both those holes. Thank you

Can someone explain the positive/negative effects of using a 14b compressor housing and wheel with a 12a exhaust housing and exhaust wheel?

I understand the difference in the flange, not bolting up to existing downpipe, etc; what I'm wondering is how this will affect performance.

The exhaust wheel in the 12a is maybe 1mm smaller in diameter which makes the 14b wheel not fit in the 12a exhaust housing, hence the switch.

For those that may wonder, "Why?" I have a bunch of turbos and no money, the only one with a good exhaust housing is the 12a. Unfortunately it also has horrible shaft play, I swapped the exhaust wheel and the exhaust housing onto a 14b with good bearings and I now have a complete turbo that's in much better shape than my current 14b. I have all the flanges for the downpipe and wastegate port, shouldn't be too hard to mount. Plasma cutter will take care of the exhaust manifold-turbo problem. Can I do this? It just seems too easy...

i let off at 6000rpms due to road ending, but is there anything you guys see unusual in any of the logs? any adjustments needed? And yes i know i need a wideband and its on the way AEM UEGO. I plan on turning the boost up to maybe 22psi, so any information would be VERY USEFUL and very much appreciated. Like i said before it looks like the values are maxing out at .92 and the throttle at 94%, dont know why though. Sorry if i posted this in the wrong place and sorry that the logs i posted are typed....thx in advance everyone and my mod list is up to date
