Hey guys, having an issue with my pocketlogger cable. Digital tuning hasn't returned my e-mails, so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

Palm V, pocketlogger cable, Palm hotsync cable or Palm hotsync cradle, all confirmed to be functioning. This exact same set-up worked just fine before the motor rebuild but nothing changed electrically in the vehicle so...

Pocketlogger program is registered, both the hotsync cable and cradle work just fine, I have a heart beat at the ALDL, I have power at the fuse block that powers the cable and I have continuity between the ecu and the ALDL. What I don't have is a connection to the Palm. When I bring up the "datalog" function, I get no data and the sample rate is shown as 0.

Is there anything I can check on the pocketlogger cable itself or elsewhere in the vehicle that may be causing the connection issue?

Thanks for any and all suggestions and/or advice.

When I check the cable, it reports to me that it is functional. My computer recognizes the USB cable anytime I plug it in. I have no problems with mmcd, logwroks, LM programmer, or anything else I need to connect to. So why is it when I connect to tunerpro, it just says"connecting" at the bottom foredver and never connects. Please help, I am getting close to sending my hole setup to the guy who helps me with my chip tuning to try and figure this out, and I would love to spare him the trouble.

So just to recap

cables appear to be correct.Correct COm is identified, and everyhting is set right in tunerprort they report back as found and functional by tunerproRT
1g DSM definition file is loaded into tunerpro and automotically loads when I start the program
Computer recognizes cable anytime it is plugged in
Drivers for cables installed.

Is there some other drivers I am un aware of? I have followed this sites tunerpro thread in every detail plus used a couple other resources including tunerpro's own forums and site.

PLease help!

The problem is when i ground the ecu case, the engine will not accelerate past 1500 rpm,Almost like rev limiter. The entire time i have been using this ecu, I have had it on the passenger side floor, I tried to mount it where it belongs and the above mentioned problem occurs.

I also had a problem logging when i first got the ecu,(mmcd) I had to jump 2 of the wires at the aldl to get it to work properly, If i didnt, the logger would jump around and all the values would flash. I tried the ecu mounted with the jumper disconnected, To no avail.

If anyone has any input i would love to hear it.

Thanks in advance
Also, on a related note, I decided to try the "injector test" and 1 and 2 did nothing, 3 and 4 worked and made the car run/idle identical (rough, obviously). BTW I'm running version 1.5d of MMCd via palm emulator on Windows 7.

I am having this problem after periods of driving, when idling, my INT Temps are around 90-100*, my coolant temps are at 200-213* (even after adding Redline Water Wetter OMG) and I'll notice my MAF RAW hrtz will start to surge from 50hrtz to 20 hrtz, airflow per rev will drop to .23 and the car will peg lean on wideband and start to stall. The stalling doesn't happen every time though!

The stalling doesn't happen every time though!

I don't have any other signs of a bad MAF as it only does this when idling after a period of driving. I also have my airflowperrev set at .29 as I have FP2s (272s) and I heard this is the target number for 272s. My ISC position is where it's supposed to be at 30ish

Could it possibly be heatsoak causing these issues? My airflowperrev at a wrong number? Or a bad MAF?

A couple of things to note is I only have the stock passenger side fan with a mishimoto radiator, no Emission lines at all with TB ports capped off, Dejon intake (only has recirculating port) with stock 1G bov recirculated and I also have my valvecover breather hose dumping off to the ground not recirculated back into the intake. (Could this be the problem?)

Any ideas?

Thanks :thumb:

1G Base timing with ARC-2

Hey guys. Well I am finally getting to setting my base timing. I no longer have access to a coil or wires so I'm attempting to set it using the inductive pickup on the signal wire to coil #1 (I read on another resolved thread to do this). My question is if anyone has experience doing this with an ARC-2? I could bypass it but id rather set timing using everything the car is going to run with on a daily basis. If someone has done so what settings did you run on the ARC-2?
Appreciate the help!...

so i recently finished my gst build. i tried to get it inspected today and it didnt pass. heres the deal, i got all of the monitors fired up with no cel. pulled it in the inspection bay at my shop today and my boss plugged it into the computer. apparently, here in Rhode Island, a 97 gst is exempt from the standard obd2 plugin and inspect style inspection. so now my boss had to do a two speed idle test and stick the probe in my exhaust and rev to 2300rpm. well i have no cat converter so it...
