Ok so i have a 1994 Eclipse GS N/T. When i got it everything worked like a charm. Then i spun a rod bearing and it sat for a year and a half with no motor. Now i finally have a motor in it and the electrical seems to be going to crap. The factory stereo wires quit working out of nowhere, the cruise control was working and the wiper speed was not but now it's the other way around, and now the auto seatbelts only work if you leave the key on. Also the dome lights stopped working the other day. I have checked the fuses, i'm pretty sure it's something more than that.
My real question is. is there a way to find out what is going on here without making the car undriveable? It's currently my DD and i can't afford to tear it down beyond driveable for more than a day or two. OR should i just try to deal with the problems for now and just replace the whole entire harness once i get my truck done for a DD and tear the eclipse down for a turbo/awd swap?
In case it matters i got screwed by a used engine company and recieved a 4g61 Mirage engine with a 4g67 Lancer head instead of a 4g63. Other than the timing belt issues i resolved though, i haven't had any issues with the motor. I doubt that would affect the electricals but just thowing that out there.
