Thanks for the compliments everyone. Got to meet and talk to some very inspiring dsm'ers over the weekend. I seriously cannot thank enough the guys like Marco and Jeff Bush along with anyone I forget for answering all my annoying questions. Thanks again.

^^ +1. Almost done buiding my 2g. Can't wait to start on a new project next year, I'm sure I'll be returing to threads like this picking up inspiration. Really enjoy this build it was cool just following the thread. Making it to the shootout to see it would've been a great touch but at least there was a lot of coverage of one seriously classic event

So far the 2150s and twin walbros are working. Needed to add a ton of fuel but that is expected. 10:1 AFR is different to tune too. Tyler tuned his talon to 10.3-10.5:1 and his engine looked great internal wise when we pulled the head off today. So I will target that number. I may be going to a magnafuel over the winter and see what she will do.

Done for the season. Tried turning it up and this engine I built 3 years ago couldn't take 40psi @ 3500 for 4ish seconds while the dumbass in the next lane doesn't understand there is two lights. Lifted the head and hydrolocked the engine on the first pass at the starting line. Currently getting parts together for my next engine. Should make it a little bit easier on everything.

Well I tore the head off today. I bent 2 intake valves but other than that we are all good up there. The block on the other hand is a total loss. The eagle rod that was in there snapped right in the center. It ended up ripping a hole right through the oil pan and broke through the block(ended up taking out my starter). The piston came out and the attached rod still floats on the pin. The rod still rotates on the crank. It was simply a part failure. I found some water but not enough to point right at hydro-locking. So here is some carnage

I am collecting parts to sell to help fund the next engine.
The next engine will be a 7 bolt, Wiseco 1.5HD 10.5:1, BME aluminum rod, stock crank, our custom profile crane cams, Kiggly springs, Ferrea 1mm over valves, Tyler's port work, our custom filled block setup, 1/2 in head stud, welded head, perma torque HG, ect, ect...
Should be able to order the bottom end stuff once I sell this head and my AEM.

Holy shit! Thats pretty crazy. Never would have thought an Eagle rod to do that. Ive seen stock 6 bolt rods do that though. That next engine sounds pretty bad ass too!

The permatorque was designed by the guy who has help build the fastest 4g door car in the U.S. and also has an 8 sec 2g. No orings and just a permatorque.
