So I put my Tein Flex system on my 97 gsx, had the camber fix, new wheels and balanced, driveline is in check, and resurfaced rotors. I still have vibrations coming from the rear of the car. Most noticeable in 4th at 3300 rpm. When I accelerate, sounds like there is bass coming from the rear with a lot of vibrations. Any ideas?

The rear wheel bearings are probably your culprit. It's not a hard thing to diagnose. Does the noise get louder and quiter as you speed up and slow down? Also, try swerving the car in an open area to put load on one either side of the car. A bad wheel bearing will get loader with load and quiter without. If you turn left and it get louder then the right rear is the bad one and visa versa.

Good Luck!

I had the SAME noise for two days, before my transmission disintegrated. An input shaft bearing committed suicide, but before it finally cut a hole on the side of the tranny, it was grinding very badly. The grinding was due to the center differential only receiving power intermittently. This caused the rear end of the car to sound as if I had a 15KW Subwoofer setup. Food for thought...

well I have to work through out the weekend so the car will probably go in on monday or tues. I am hoping that it is just my wheel bearing and not the trans going to hell. I'll keep ya posted

Just came back from the dealership. Found out that when my driveshaft was replaced, they didn't put the shims back in for some reason. I guess there should be shims between the driveline/ bearing ring housing and the body. Anyone know what shims exactly I need?
