I recently had one of those Mobil service stations put in BG Synchroshift for me. I just said, "The fluid is in my trunk." Little did I know, they only put 2 quarts in, making the fluid about 1/3 of a quart low. The tranny still feels better than the previous fluid, but I just wanted to know if this might cause excess wear on my tranny? Should I get that last 1/3 quart in ASAP?

I plan on it. I guess what I really wanted to know is if it's possible my tranny got excess wear unecessarily, or if it is designed to handle a little under/overfilling. Also, my time is limited, and I can set it at a higher priority and get it done tomorrow (I need to get access to a lift) or I can get it done in a week depending on the severity of the problem.

Don't wait the week. You can reach the filler plug by lying on the ground, and most any parts shop will have a filler tube that'll screw onto the bottle for a couple of bucks. Won't take 40 minutes.

And I hope that idiot "service" station has been permanently removed from your "return to" list.

I snuck the car into my friends shop around closing time to get usage of a lift. Apparently it was full; I guess they just didn't drain it properly and left a little of the original shtuff in there. Oh well. Thanks for your help.
