My tranny has been running fine. I have had the car for a month or two now with my tranny fine. It wasn't notchy or hard to put in gear. Now all off a sudden today it will not go in REVERSE!!! I pushed the car out and drove home. All my other gears seem fine so why won't it go in reverse. Any comments would be appreciated:(

Also you can try putting sum pressure on the shifter toward reverse. Slowly release the clutch a little. The transmission should turn and it should slip into gear. Reverse is an unsynchronized gear. Sometimes if the reverse gear is in the wrong position its hard to get in.

Nothing seems to work. It is just completely locked out of Reverse. Looks like I'll have to take it to a tranny shop and ride my bike to work. Hey this time I almost had it running for TWO FULL WEEKS!!!

Had the same problem so pay attention: About a year ago i did a tranny swap in my 91 n/t talon from auto to man. when i got it all done the tranny wouldn't shift worth a s@#t. I was stumped. I rebuilt my slave changed it like twice did every thing i could think of out side the car finally the thing just quit after babying it. So i bought another tranny, swapped it out and figgured this was the problem.....Wrong it turned out that the clutch pedal assembly i put in it was loose there is a long shaft that goes through the assembly from the left side to the right side with a nut on it. the nut came loose and wore it out. long story short check how much free play you have from the inside of the car if you push the clutch in slowly and it dosent start to push the slave rod for an inch or so its probably the same prob..;) hopefully this helps between the difference in years

Thanx for the input guys. I took it into a tranny shop because I HATE working on transmissions. I'll let you know what they think. :)
