this weekend i got redline for the t-case and diff, and gm syncromesh for the trans. i opened the drain and fill holes for the trans and t-case and let it drain. then i installed the drain bolt for the trans and started to fill through the fill hole. a minute later i heard fluid hitting the ground and saw it coming out through the t-case drain. i has thought the two were separate. i looked in the haynes manual and it specifies the same fluid for both the trans and t-case so i used the syncromesh in both.
is this ok?

I feel like an idiot saying this but i don't know - i didn't see a weight written anywhere on the syncromesh
