:barf: I just bought this car and had a new but used transmission put in.(F4A22) The old one slipped alot so I purchased one off EBAY. They(mechanic) installed it and it worked great for less than 2 whole days. They won't warranty the problem and I can't seem to figure it out on my own. PARK works and every other gear is NEUTRAL, no matter what gear I shift it into it just revs up. There was no grinding or warning. The cable is good and I found nothing in the tranny pan. Any ideas on how to fix this neutral problem and also maybe rebulid my old one. The old one slipped if I didn't baby the gas. The new one is just like it's in neutral when I put it into gear. I'm willing to rebuild both on my own. I would like to know what parts and things to do before I start buying parts and tearing it down. 1994 Eclipse GS 2.0 liter DOHC Automatic

The mechanic would have said if it was in bad shape.. To tell you the truth... I don't know.

i would agree and say your torqe convertor is bad also. My idiot friend did a 7 grand neutral drop in my car, and within 3 days it was slippin in and out of gear, kinda like in gear but feels like neutral, $800 later im back on the road

Even if it pumps fluid when put into gear-- does it still mean that it could be the converter? I started the car amd pulled one of the hoses and put it into gear and the fluid still shot out of the hose. Is there anyway I could check to see if it really is the converter?

OK, I heard it from 3 people that it may be my torque converter. I'll give it a try and get back with this forum. Thank!!:dsm:
