Help with shift light install

Hey i need some instruction on how to install a MSD rpm activated switch kit with a autometer Mini shift light and then how to hook it to my car. Let me try and clear some thing up the shift light comes with a plug (not wires) and the switch comes with just wires (no plug) And i need to know if i have to cut the plug on the shift light and splice it with the wires? Thanks for the help.
