I have a problem with my tranny. I posted in the problem forum but nobody even replied to it, so i was hoping here would be better.

Ok, to make it quick, when i get going about 10 mph it makes a really bad rubbing sound like a bearing that's bad. I've never heard a T.O. bearing go bad, but i guess it would be like that. It doesn't make the sound when I am pushing the clutch in or letting it out, only when fully dis/engaged.

If you need me to explain something more just ask. I really need help because i'm not going to drive it and risk breaking other things if it's something serious. If i can't get help here i'm just going to have to take it to a shop and tell them to fix whatever's wrong and take it up the tailpipe.

it sounds like it could be a throw out bearing. When mine was going out on my other car it was fine when the clutch was in but as soon as i let the clutch out it would start to make the noise. Kind of like a rubbing/tumbling kind of noise. How old is your clutch? Lucky when mine was starting to go out my clutch was just about dead so i just got a new clutch kit for the car. To let you know if it is or not i would need to hear how it sounds. Most likely it is your Throw out bearing. If you have a stock clutch now would be a good time to up grade. For peace of mind you could look for a clutch shop in your area most of them do free inspections and they would let you know right off the bat if its a T.O. bearing or not.

stocker clutch at 112,xxx miles. I can feel a little vibration in the clutch pedal when it makes the noise too, if that helps. Yeah, i was thinking 2600/fidanza would be good right now since the tranny will be out anyways.
