i just did it in a 1G awd....its not "hard" per say, just REALLY time consuming. its just a lot of work and the parts arent exactly cheap. i think the 2g should be a little easier b/c of the pedal assembly...not to mention you guys can buy the ss clutch line that goes from the clutch master to the clutch slave. us 1g guys have to go find the hard line from a junk yard since the dealer no longer makes them. here's the parts list which is very generic and doesnt include the very small things like cotter pins and dowel pins:

-tranny (of course)
-transfer case
-rear differential and axles
-front axles
-shifter
-shift cables
-clutch/brake pedal assembly
-clutch master cylinder
-clutch slave cylinder
-clutch line
-clutch release bearing and ring clip
-clutch
-flywheel
-m/t flywheel bolts
-m/t tranny mount

those are the basics, but these are some things you might also wanna get:

-starion/conquest shift knob (really heavy and screws right on)
-shift kit and brass shift linkage bushings
-new release fork and pivot ball

also, i did my swap w/ the engine out and that made it 10x easier to install the clutch master cylinder and run the shift cables throught the firewall. i would say that with ALL the parts on hand as well as ALL the right tools, a moderately experienced "mechanic" like myself could probably do the swap in a weekend if i worked on it consistently. the vfaq is hardly realistic with a projected time lapse of 9 hrs....i wish it was that easy. anywho, hopefully someone that has done the swap in a 2g will chime in.
