Does anyone know where I can get some bg syncro shift in the chicagoland area?

Probably a bit out of town, at whatever racer shops you have around. However, you may want to go with Pennzoil/Quaker State Synchromesh from AutoZone first..... same as GM Synchromesh, good reviews, cheap.
