Shifting Problems????

When I shift into second from first, I am having to shove it in!!! It shouldnt be that rough!!! A nd it dose it from time to time from second to third?????? have no idea what it is!!! Is there an adjustment on the shifter? is my tranny bad??? New Clutch??? any info would save alot of money!!!!!
Dont want to take it to someone that will charge me $200 to tighten a bolt!!!!

Yes there are adjustments you can make. Could also be clutch, pedal assembly, master cylinder....etc
