The previous owner of my car upgraded the clutch but i think he left the flywheel alone, what will an aftermarket flywheel do for me? any real benefits?
Thanks

A light flywheel give you more power based on the fact it's so much loss of rotating mass.

There is much debate though on whether it is worth it or not. You will have to relearn how to drive in parking lots and how you lauch the car when at the track.

I'm still on fence on these myself I haven't heard enough good abuot them to justify my buying one.

I'de get one on the facts alone that it gives you a sweet sounding ruff idle and quick revs.

I just got a fidanza from Buschur along with an ACT 2600, I love it. I got 245 miles on it so far. I did notice the ruff idle but thats not a "always" type thing.

How ever my car has stalled when I push in the clutch 2 times when going very slow. Im over all happy I got it out of the way while in there.

Your going to have to keep the revs up higher than normal... Remember, a heavier flywheel traps more energy, so you don't stall if your revs dip too low.

I wouldn't be too worried about getting a fidanza flywheel for your talon. Try jumpin into a porsche with aftermarket cams and flywheel! Gotta heel toe all the time or stall.

Speaking of rough idle, I installed the clutch, flywheel, and prothane motor mounts all at the same time. There were definite adjustments in driving that had to be made, especially in rush hour.
