I have a 95 Eagle Talon ESi that had a tranny blowout from the previous owner. I purchased a tranny out of a 96' Eclipse . I entrusted someone to change the center shaft seal and when i realized what he did I almost died. He took off the case and exposed the gears so that he can bang out the old seal and then when he went to re- assemble the tranny, he tightened the case without aligning the parts correctly and he damaged one of the "shift shaft" copper bushings. The tranny has 4 holes and inside the holes there is a copper bushing where the shift shafts are secured. I have gone absolutly everywhere to get a replacement but no one has them. The dealership said they need the VIN number to order the part but I got this tranny from someone that I no longer have any contact with. What should I do?... should I get a vin off of any 96 eclipse and teake it to the dealer?... HELP !.. :( :barf:  :barf:

awsome thanks... does anyone with a non-turbo 96 eclipse like to donate their VIN number for a good cause?
