About how much would it cost me to switch my 1990 Automatic talon to a manual. Including parts and labor.(List of parts would help too!:D ) And.....what engine model is the 2.0L turbo that the 1st gens use. I was thinking about getting one, rebuilding it and putting it in my Talon. Would this work?(As far as the size of the engine bay) And I am assuming that I would have to swap the transmission as well?:dsm:

You'll need a tranny, a shifter, shift cables, clutch/brake pedal assembly, clutch master, clutch slave, (Upper clutch line, flex hose, lower clutch line <-- you can make your own of these 3 items...), something ot cut sheetmetal with.

if you pull your motor out, its a piece of cake, otherwise its a fairly hard swap. you have to pull your auto out, yank the auto ECU, pull your pedals, cut your holes in the firewall (this is one of the worst parts unless you can pull your motor and do it from the engine bay... BUT its not hard to find the holes, just the process of doing them), you have to put in shifter cables/shifter ... read the VFAQ on the 90-91+ shifter differences (not to mention vfaq ALSO has a visual of this exact swap...) etc etc

its worth doing, ive got a 90 FWD tranny sitting in the back of my ford if your looking for one.
