heres the problem. i have a 90 gs. the firewall tag says it is model D22AMNHML4M engine 4G63 trans. F5M22 opt. A00 okay. i have a tranny with the numbers KF5M332SPQV QA3168 came back as a 93 talon tranny, not sure turbo or na. bar code on tranny BQA3168-SPQV
i took out the old engine with the numbers 4G63 N06248 my new engine has numbers 4G63 JA4846 will the new engine work with the new tranny at all??? i read the f5m22 tranny was for a 1.8. the bumper has gs on it and when i bought it it had a 2.0. the vin is 4A3CS44R4LE030453. help me for god sakes, help me. email [email protected]

That's a GS-T VIN and a GS-T tranny you got there. Yes it will fit, but the gear ratios are going to be different than your N/A

how the heck will i get a 93 turbo tranny off a 7 bolt motor to fit on a 91 6 bolt motor n/a, stick. is it possible. i thank you guys a bunch on helping me out, anything else you know would be awsome. i need to know a heck of a lot more bout my car. me email is [email protected] if you know an www page with crap loads of info bout 90 eclipse and stuff please email me or something. thanks a bunch. peace

A tranny that was originally on a 7 bolt engine will have no trouble bolting to a 6 bolt block, but the 93 FWD turbo tranny you mentioned I believe is meant for slightly larger axles, so the axles in your current 90 GS probably aren't going to work with the later trans.

ok, i have the 93 halfshafts in the car. the tranny bolted right on, but, the flywheel on the 6 bolt motor is 1/4 inch smaller than that of the 7 bolt flywheel. therefore when i hit the key and the starter enguages, the starter gear doesnt touch the flywheel. so, it doesnt move. is there a flywheel out there that will make it work or am i screwed and have to buy a new motor or tranny? thanks for helping me out. peace. [email protected]

will that seriously work. i am dying without my car. i am goin to take your word for it. thanks a lot. peace.
