alright friday night i worked on pullin my awd tranny by myself for about 4 hours.. and i was readin in the haynes book and they said that u have to remove your starter to get the tranny out.. and when im lookin i dont even see the friggen thing.. anyways i almost got the tranny out.. all i gotta do it take out the axles and itll come right out... anyone here know if i really gotta take out my starter??

usually i dont read the book unless im really stuck but since a tranny is a main part of my car i guess it wouldnt have hurt to try to do something right haha.

The starter doesnt actually have to come out of the car, but it does need to be unbolted from the tranny. It's just 2 bolts, near the battery, below the throttle body.
