i parked my car for awhile while doing some body work i get in to start it up.. It starts no problem there but then imj out diriving push the clutch in the idle drops way below 1000 around like 500 the car shudders then dies.. took it to the dealer payed and arm and a leg to have them tell me the base idles motor was daed so having replaced it i went out driving again and the problemwas still there...!!!!..took it back to see what else it could be .. they say that my clutch is probably out ....i just got my clutch this time last year.. theyre main reason for thinking that was cuz the pedal engages so close to the floor but thats the way it been since i had the car... i have a act2600 iin the car right now i just wondered if anybody has had this problem before.. its as if there is a load still on the motor after the clutch is relesed... hellp

I've had 2 stock clutches and an ACT2600 friction disc go out on me and none of them acted like that when they went out.. If I were you I probably would've went out and bought a compression tester and done a few tests before I took it to the dealer.. You can diagnose a lot with one of those and its really easy and cheap to do. The dealer is just gonna run you in circles because most likely they don't know what it is either.. They'll also end up getting waay too much $$ from ya..

Peace

I would check the master and slave cylinders for the clutch. Look to see if you have fluid. These things like to break.
