Ok my car is a 1990 talon tsi awd & i have a problem and i need some help it is when i try shifting into 2nd it does not want to go in it does not gring though it just doesn't go i had no problems with 2nd before exc. for when racing. I can get it into second if i go from 1st to 2nd kinda rough like its sticking kinda but no grinding but if will not down shift to second unless i put it in 1st first. I got a new clutch put in about 1500 miles ago and don't know what kinda gear oil they put in could that be the prob are is my trans. f@cked and also 3rd has a little grind to it if i go from 2nd -3rd fast but no grind if i slowly put it in and grinds pretty bad if i try to down shift to 3rd if anyone can help let me know and if you need more info let me know

Sounds to be that. You may wanna at least give it a shot to replace your tranny fluid with BG Synchromesh. Its not a tranny rebuilder, but it will certainly help.

quite post whoreing derek:D :thumb:

actually i found that if you get this stuff called Extra Pressure or EP-1 additive, it works WONDERS!!!

its based in a graphite moly and is non-synthetic, runs about 5.00 for 1/2 quart, drain out about a quart of your tranny fluid and add this, this isht sticks to everything and wont come off, which means id also recommend a magnetic drain plug. Unlike other fluids which fly off as gears are spinning, this stuff wont, i recomment a mix of 1qt of this with the rest with bg syncromesh or the like.

well i adjusted my clutch pedal and put syncromesh fluid in and it helped some i can down shift to 2nd but only if i pull it all the way to the side and as far up to 1st then pull down and it goes right in 2nd most the time i checked my master and slave cylender and the slave was bad but i don't think that that is the prob. if any one has anymore info let me know and if anyone knows where to buy good rebuild parts or built trannys could you pleasee let me know so i can get some prices thanks for the help
