Does anyone make all 4 motor mount that are solid and not 2 inserts?
My front and back motor mounts are already window welded, so i cant use the inserts anymore.

Alright! Not solid metal! you know how the prothane kit comes with solid polyurathane mounts that you use to replace the stock rubber, for 2g's they only have 2 replacements and 2 INSERTS not replacements! Can I get a kit that has all 4 replacements?

Prothane makes them.. you can get them at extreme psi.

They are called 'inserts' but they replace the whole rubber piece. You will need a air chisel to get the old stock mount w/sleeve out, and a press to push the new ones in.

Goodluck. I run them in my 90' they are very stiff.

You can make your own with a lathe and a bar of 75A to 90A urethane stock. But with the price of urethane rod it's hardly worth the cost, time, or effort when you could just do what Tom did.

I talked to a guy who had made his own urethane mounts and this is what he told me:
The urethane stock was special order from an extrusion house, 75A durometer. Name of the place was Pflieger plastics. I ordered it in 3" and 4" OD, and made up a few fixtures so it could be mounted and turned in a lathe. Total investment in urethane was around $500 for a 3' stick of each diameter.
Once I started trying to cut on the lathe, I quickly realized that the material had a strong tendecy to flex and gave a very poor surface finish so I ended up resorting to dry ice to freeze the pre-cut pieces prior to machining. Other than that, the process was straightforward and the frozen urethane actually cut very nicely.

Thanks guys, and Tom, I messaged big lady about solid mounts, we'll see what he says...
I know for 1gs they sell all 4 solid urethane mounts, but appears not for 2g's....

EDIT: oh and by he way tom I did SEARCH! I am just starting to consider using the metal mounts now, I was really looking for solid urethane mounts.

^ Just arrived a couple days ago. Now to send a little something to biglady. :thumb:

Prothane kits for the 2nd gen are full replacement only for the passenger/driverside mounts. The front and the rear are inserts.

Ill try to find some pics or take some of the ones I made using delrin.

Well we all know that the standard prothane kit for 2g's come with the front/rear as inserts, hence the reason for this thread. Anyone care to contact extreme or any of the vendors to confirm that these are a new set of bushings?

I just ordered that exact thing from them and the front and rears are not a replacement, just one of the little insert things.
