Ok i am getting my new clutch (act 2600 presure plate) installed tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone had any good info on breaking in this clutch i know u have to drive it norm for 500 mile to heat it up and cool it down but if there is anything someone could tell me let me know :dsm:

I am sure you know this but make sure Flywheel is properly machined or you will have some lovely clutch chatter like me. I wouldnt go 500 miles and then start launching all over the place just be easy on it the first few times.

This may be overdoing it, but this is what I do. 400-500 no boost, shifting miles (NOT highway miles). You will feel when it breaks in, the engagement gets smoother. It will be a bit grabby until it breaks in. Would be a good time to throw an SS clutch line in too. Good luck.

do not drive the car with high gear on low speed, ie doing 50mph at 4th gear. In other words, keep the rpm around 3k rpm to 4k rpm as much as possible.

thanks for the info guys if anyone has anymore good info let me know

Yeah, the guys at Slowboy just put a 2100 in my car and they said I should only need about 250 miles to break it in, but I'm going to probably do the 500 just to be safe. I do my best not to use the boost and make the shifts as smooth as possible.
