Just wondering if any here has ever personaly put one of these kits in a 2g AWD. I was thinking of getting this kit and doing myself, but ive never been in the tranny. Ive seen the FAQ about the install and its looks straight forward, just getting the valve body out. If anyone has had a shop do it for you, how much did it cost?
thanks

I performed the install about a month ago, fairly easy. You will have to drill a couple of holes larger in the valve body plates, but this is explained in the instructions that come with the kit. Just purchase the kit read the VFAQ, Read the instructions, and get all necessary tools/parts and you should be all set.

Total instll time about 7 Hours for me.
And well worth the time/effort.

Translab kits will work in 1g's too, right? I've been reading about this and just noticing only 2g's have been doing it. What else do you need with the translab shift kit? Do you need an..."alto end clutch" with it? Torque converters? Eh i dont know much about transmissions.
