we just recently installed the spec stage 3 6 puck clutch in a buddys car and are having problems after getting everything installed.

Now heres whats going on so far, when the car is off clutch down and trying to put into gear it doesnt really seem like it wasnt to go in all the well. now when we turn the car on push the clutch down and try to go into any gear it wont go not even close.. only 1st gear will go somewhat in but then it will just grind with the petal all the way down.

We have changed both the master and slave, bleed the system completely. and still having the same problem.

we have kinda narrowed it down to 2 problems.. my friend thinks it might be becuase of the pin that you put on the throw out bearing to the fork was put on the wrong side. He thinks he put it on the fork side instead of the other side, but does that make a difference?

also we had the flywheel taken to a local shop to get it resurfaced. do spec clutches have to be stepped? ive been getting different answers to it. and if it does what does it need to be stepped to? we also think maybe the shop messed up on the resurface. i just dont know we have spent so much time, i just wanna know if it might be something simple that we wont have to rip of the tranny off. any input would be helpful, thanks.

im also helping him out with this, and we did adjust the rod on the master, we started at about half way and then backed it out (meaning more of the rod was toward the firewall) to where we could not back it out anymore without it coming completely out. so i have gone the other way? but then the petal would be way to low to the floor...

well it looks like we will most likey be pulling it again tonight unless anyone else has something to brighten this up.

You adjusted the rod the wrong way.

You should be tightening the rod. Sounds like thats what you did but you say you backed it out.
