Just want to say this first, my car is a 1987 Audi 4000CS Quattro (AWD I-5) - manual tranny.

Thought you guys could maybe help me find out what a noise is from my tranny.

Lately, you can hear my gears in my wind out when accelerating, like it's a distinct not too loud noise but it sounds like a mini-super charger when accelerating.

Is this necessarily a really bad thing? etc? Thinking of having a tranny place look at it.

Thanks for any help you can provide. I just don't want it to drop out on my when shifting one day. Thanks guys :)
