This is an update to my problem about the shifter popping out of gear in first - I posted about a week ago with no replies.

I got my clutch master & slave cylinders replaced and the problem is still apparent. When the cylinders failed that seemed to screw up my 2nd gear synchros so thats why I have grind going into 2nd constantly - but the first gear is still intermittently popping out of gear from a dead stop.

I examined the shift cables in the engine compartent, and when moving from 1st to 2nd, there seems to be a lot of play on the bushings for the shift cables themselves - does anyone know where I can get new ones?

The part I'm looking for is a what looks like a little rubber bushing that is on the cable that moves when you go from 1st to 2nd - it's down in the front of the passenger side of the engine bay.... I'm not sure of the exact name.
Thanks!
