Hey, I went shopping for a slave cylinder at advance, and the only part they show for a 1g tsi awd is a slave cylinder that says "except speed control."

What the hell would be a difference?
 
Leave it to the autoparts stores to confuse the hell out of you. If they only list one part, that's probably the right one. Can you get the part number and brand from them and post it?
