So after all the crap I have put up with and the money I spent installing an OBX LSD and it not working I decided last night to have a quaife 2 day aired to me and then try to get my money back from the obx dealer later.

i thought about the phantom grip but decided against it because i didnt want to risk having to go back into tranny any time soon

If this thing doesnt slide right in i am torching the car

I know its an old post but I started and I can raise it from the dead if I want to. I finally got the car completely back together. The neon tranny, Quaife LSD, and stage 2 axles all went together perfectly. The tranny bolted right up and then suprisingly, even after a month of sitting, the car cranked right up. I almost ran screaming to the nearest priest to confess every bad thing I had ever done because I was sure the world was ending soon.

My initial observation is that this setup rocks. Before even at normal behaviour, in 1st or 2nd if I put the pedal to the floor the front right tire would spin. Now, from a 30mph roll on, when I punch the gas it just goes. I only did it once since I wanted to give everything a chance to work together a bit before I try to destroy it. However considering that before all I would get is wheel spin I think it was worth the money.


I think I will give it a week or so of normal driving before I see how far I can lay down two black marks now.
