I'm changing my manual transmission fluid. I found the drain plug. As I understand it, I'm supposed to replenish the fluid through the speed sensor hole. Where exactly is this located? Any help is much appreciated.

Ok, I'm seriously sick of this and want to get started on it. I went to check my owner's manual to see what kind of transmission fluid to use, it seems that my owner's manual never came with the car when I bought it. So I went to autozone and the man there said the computer wouldn't tell him what kind. So I called the Mitsubishi dealer and asked the service desk and she couldn't find it anywhere WTF . I yelled at her and said "So if someone came in to get their transmission fluid changed, you wouldn't know what to put in it. That really f'n comforting." So hear I am asking the only people who give a damn about our cars. Does anyone know what kind of transmission fluid to put in a 97 GS manual transmission?

Stop by your local Autozone and pick up three quart of Pennzoil Synchromesh. It's in a yellow bottle and works very well for either turbo or N/T transmissions and you'll likely feel an increase in the smoothness of your shifting. It should run you anywhere from $4.00 to $4.50 per quart.

Happy Shifting!

Yeah what Andy said, but be prepared to dish out $6 a bottle, which is cheap compared to other syncromesh's.
