Question 2g tranny on a 6 bolt engine

Alright I have looked everywhere for this answer, but really im just looking for a confirmation that the 2g tranny will bolt onto a 6-bolt no problem, I know that there's a difference between the fwd and awd flywheel in either a 7-bolt or 6-bolt and that I should use the awd 6-bolt flywheel since I have a awd tsi. So does the 2g tranny bolt on to a 6 bolt engine with little or no mods? Can a 1g tranny work in the 2g? Thank You your answers are highly appreciated.

There are no mods and you have to use a 2G tranny in a 2G car. 1G's use 3 mounts on the motor and 1 on the tranny where 2G's use 1 on the motor and 3 on the tranny. There is one bolt that will not have anything to thread into on the 6 bolt block.

So I am to understand you CANNOT use a 2g tranny in a 1g car then. I was hoping you could because they are so much smoother than a 1g.

From late 92 and up the transmissions were basically all the same, the only reason it will shift better is because of mileage, or lack thereof. The late 92+ trans has a weak 3/4 sleeve that can shatter if shifted harshly long enough, I did it and it sucks.
