when looking for a transmission for my 1992 plymouth laser rs (awd tubro) the guy who owns the salvage yard asked how many splines are on my spline shaft... 21,22,23 how would i find this out, without having to actualy take my tranny out.... any ideas?
 
To be absolutely sure you have to jack up the car, unbolt the downpipe, take the tcase off (5 bolts) and count the splines on the output shaft.
