I have noticed a slight roaring sound while im accelerating in the past week. when i shift there is no problem. no gringing and not kicking the shifter out of gear. well today on the way home, my car is starting to buckle a little then it starts to accelerate. i was at a stop sign and started off in 1st..kinda buckled but not much. then, i shifted to 2nd. the shifter was hoping in my hand like it was going to kick out of gear, but it didnt. then i shift into 3rd and its still roaring and buckling. when i got home i was revving the engine and it sounded fine. drove down the road and it was just getting worse. i checked my fluid levels and they were fine. nothing leaking. anybody have any ideas? think its time for a rebuild? :(

It sounds like you have some main bearing problems. It's a bad idea to drive it. I have seen shafts break many cases because of bearings.

my brother and i think that it is a bearing on my on the main shaft. im not sure but our problems sound the same. i havent had a chance to take mine out yet i have been waiting for a nice day to clean up the garage and i also need to get my honda on the road now:dsm:

i was wondering if it was the main bearing. i also heard a slight rattle from the car when shifted at high rpms. it also sqeeked when at idle. i was hoping it was the main bearing instead of crankwalk, but the car runs to good to c-walked. thanks for the opinions now i have an idea what i need to.

one other question. i have heard a that if you rebuild your tranny they dont seem to be as strong and can tear up easier. is this true? i mean doesnt make sense to me, but a pretty good guy with dsms said it and i wasnt sure weather to believe him or not.

thanks again

my brother said somthin to me about a friend of his getting a tranny cuz it was on recall so im going to look in to it. he said the recall was cuz the seals were goin bad and leakin tranny fluid causing it to over heat and the bearings to lock up so im callin the dealership monday to find out if this is true.:thumb:
