Auto to 5spd conversion...

Well..I'm shopping for a 92-94 TSi AWD..and the ones im finding that have around 70k are like $3000. Sounds like a deal right? Well..ill be damned if they arent all auto's. What the hell? Anyway, how much to convert an auto to 5spd on the AWD's? Am i better off spending $6000 for the 5spd w/ 80k? Where can i get trannies (preferably new)? Thanks. Peace

if you are that worried about a transmission..... then you have a whole different problem. you can make an auto just as fast... not to mention the turbo continues to spool throw gears with an auto. but there are its fun factors and its advantages of having a manual. don't spent 3K more for a car with more miles a simple 5 speed.

I think the tranny conversion cost just as much as that car.
