whats this problem

ok, heres the deal. shifting into first usually takes a couple tries because the shifter gets "stuck" and wont go in fully. no matter how much force i put into it, it wont move forward and i have to try it again. its getting worse too. now, its starting to grind a little, even with the clutch in. also, now reverse and 1st pops out sometimes. whats up? clutch maybe?

sounds like a cluth to me, how many miles on the car and how many since last clutch replacement if ever done before

the car has 50,000 original miles, babied all the way. im the second owner, first was my dad, and its never had a clutch
