Wondering if a center diff from a 90 GSX will work in a 97 GSX. I can not remember if the splines are the same between the two. Or if someone could list what years work with what other years. Thanks.

A 90 Diff will not work in a 97 tranny. The 90 is the odd ball, it will not work in any other tranny year. I believe 91-97 are the same....

Damn it, that's what I was thinking too. Do you remember what exactly the difference between them is?

Not sure if 90 are the odd ball or not. I do know that 90-early92 center diffs have a different tooth pitch on the ring gear. Late 92-up all have the same center diff. Basically you have a 6-bolt center diff and a 7-bolt center diff. Thats when the updates to the trannies happened. Hope that helps.
