I cracked the case on my tranny and I don't have the money to fix it, So I was tearing it down to weld it and a ball bearing fell out when I pulled the case apart. Could any one tell me where it goes ?

If it is what I think it is, it isnt a bearing part. It's a very important part to your reverse. When you reassemble your shift rails it goes between your 3/4 and 5/r rail inside that greyish sleeve that holds the two rails together. I hope this makes sense to you, it's kinda a brief description.

did you take three bolts there were right in a row out?? and they had srings on them (you should have!)

the balls go up in therewhen you re-assemble you should put it back together ball-soring-bolt...
